What channel is the Premier League on today?
Premier League TV rights are split across broadcasters, so the channel changes week to week. Sky Sports Premier League airs most live fixtures, with overflow on Sky Sports Main Event and Football; a secondary cable sports package typically shows two matches per week; Amazon Prime streams two full rounds per season; and BBC's Match of the Day covers highlights only, with no live matches. Rather than paying $60-90/month for Sky Sports and that cable sports package separately, Vivimate bundles them with Amazon Prime's fixtures in one subscription from $19.99/month.
"What channel is the Premier League on today?" is one of the most searched football questions in the — and the answer is rarely simple. Premier League rights are split between multiple broadcasters, and which channel airs which game changes week to week. This guide explains exactly how it works.
Premier League Channel Guide 2026
Sky Sports Premier League
Sky Sports holds the largest share of Premier League broadcast rights. The dedicated Sky Sports Premier League channel airs the majority of live fixtures throughout the season. Additional overflow games appear on Sky Sports Main Event, Sky Sports Football and Sky Sports 4K UHD.
Key Sky Sports Premier League slots: Saturday 12:30 PM, Saturday 5:30 PM, Sunday 2:00 PM, Sunday 4:30 PM, Monday 8:00 PM, and occasional Friday evening fixtures.
Cable Sports Package
A secondary cable sports package holds the remaining share of Premier League broadcast rights. It typically shows two live Premier League matches per week, often including high-profile Saturday afternoon fixtures that Sky does not hold.
These fixtures are usually spread across two channels within that package, with a number of matches also available in 4K.
Amazon Prime Video
Amazon Prime has a small number of Premier League fixtures — typically two complete rounds of matches per season (one in December, one in May). When Amazon shows Premier League, they broadcast all matches simultaneously, meaning every fixture in that round is live on Prime.
BBC (Match of the Day — Highlights Only)
The BBC does not broadcast live Premier League matches. Match of the Day on BBC One (Saturday, ~10:30 PM) and Match of the Day 2 (Sunday, ~10:30 PM) carry highlights of all Saturday and Sunday matches respectively.
The Simplest Way to Watch Every Premier League Channel
Rather than paying for Sky Sports and a separate cable sports package on top of each other — routinely $60–$90/month combined — Vivimate bundles that coverage together with Amazon Prime's Premier League fixtures in one subscription from $19.99/month.
Sky Sports (all channels, including 4K UHD), the secondary cable sports package, and BBC (including Match of the Day catch-up) are all included. One subscription, one interface, full EPG showing exactly which match is on which channel at what time.
