TiviMate Review 2026

Vivimate·April 2026

Is TiviMate worth using with Vivimate?

TiviMate rates 9.3/10 in our testing, the best IPTV app for Firestick and Android TV, with the strongest EPG of any IPTV player and flawless 4K playback. The free version includes unlimited channels, EPG, VOD, and Xtream Codes login; Premium, at $4.99/year, adds USB recording, multiple playlists, a 4-channel panel layout, and parental controls. Its main limitation is device support — no Apple TV, Roku, iOS or Windows app exists (IPTV Smarters Pro covers those platforms) — but for Firestick and Android TV users, TiviMate is the stronger choice.

TiviMate

9.3/10

Verdict:TiviMate is the best IPTV app for Firestick and Android TV boxes . Its EPG is perfectly formatted for BBC, ITV, Sky Sports, and Premier League schedules, and 4K playback is the smoothest of any IPTV app we've tested.

Recommended for: Firestick users, Android TV, anyone who watches live sports

TiviMate has become the go-to IPTV player for Firestick users — and for good reason. Since its release, it has consistently outperformed every other IPTV app on Android-based devices in terms of interface quality, EPG accuracy, and playback stability.

In this review, we test TiviMate with Vivimate on a Firestick 4K Max to give US viewers an honest assessment of whether TiviMate Premium is worth the $4.99/year cost — and which devices it actually works on.

EPG (TV Guide) — The Best in Class

TiviMate's EPG is the standout feature for US viewers. It displays a full 7-day guide in a familiar grid layout — similar to Sky TV's guide — showing programme names, times, and descriptions for all channels including BBC One, BBC Two, ITV, Channel 4, Sky Sports 1–6, and Premier League TV.

Vivimate's EPG data loads fully within 2–3 minutes of setup and refreshes automatically. You can also set reminders and record programmes with TiviMate Premium.

4K Playback Performance

On a Firestick 4K Max with a 50 Mbps broadband connection, TiviMate delivered flawless 4K UHD playback on Vivimate's 4K channels. Using the ExoPlayer engine (recommended in settings), streams loaded in under 3 seconds with no buffering throughout a 90-minute Premier League match.

For best 4K performance: go to TiviMate Settings → Player → select ExoPlayer as your default player.

Does TiviMate Work on Apple TV, Roku, or Samsung Smart TV?

Short answer: no. TiviMate is built for Android-based devices only — Fire TV, Fire Stick, and Android TV boxes. There is no TiviMate app for Apple TV (tvOS), Roku (RokuOS), or Samsung Smart TVs (Tizen), and there is unlikely to be one — those platforms do not allow the kind of app TiviMate is.

That does not mean you are stuck on those devices — Vivimate still works, you just need a different player:

  • •Apple TV — use IPTV Smarters Pro, which has a real tvOS app. See our Apple TV setup guide.
  • •Roku — Roku's app store will not allow TiviMate or Smarters either; the practical route is screen mirroring or a Fire TV Stick plugged into the same TV. See IPTV on Roku.
  • •Samsung Smart TV — use the SS IPTV app instead. Full walkthrough: IPTV on Samsung Smart TV.

TiviMate Free vs Premium — Is Premium Worth It?

Free Version

  • ✓Unlimited channels
  • ✓EPG TV guide
  • ✓VOD support
  • ✓Xtream Codes login
  • ✓Basic player settings

Premium ($4.99/year)

  • ✓Everything in Free
  • ✓Record programmes to USB
  • ✓Multiple playlists
  • ✓Panel layout (4 channels at once)
  • ✓Auto-update EPG
  • ✓Advanced parental controls
  • ✓Backup & restore settings

At $4.99/year, TiviMate Premium is one of the best value purchases in streaming. The recording feature alone — letting you record Premier League matches to a USB drive — makes it worthwhile for sports fans.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is TiviMate legal?

Yes. TiviMate is just a media player — the same category as VLC or Kodi — and installing a player is legal everywhere. What matters is the IPTV subscription you point it at, not the player itself. See our full breakdown at is IPTV legal.

Does TiviMate work on Apple TV or Roku?

No — TiviMate only runs on Fire TV, Fire Stick and Android TV. See the device breakdown above for what to use instead on Apple TV, Roku or Samsung.

Do I need a VPN to use TiviMate?

Not to run the app itself. Some users add one for privacy on public Wi-Fi or to avoid ISP throttling during live sports. See our best VPN for IPTV picks.

How much does TiviMate Premium cost?

TiviMate Premium is a one-time $4.99/year purchase. The free version already includes unlimited channels, EPG, VOD and Xtream Codes login; Premium adds USB recording, multiple playlists, a 4-channel panel layout and parental controls.
